About Me

Jeez, where do I start? About me…well, I grew up in Shrewsbury, Ma. Left small town life for the bright lights of the big city and went to Boston University. Fell in love with Boston and marketing and, well, the rest is kind of history. I consider myself a pretty smart-cookie… someone who can jump into a situation and make lemonade from lemons or figure out how to grow the tree to get the damn lemons. Enough with the lemons. I spent most of my professional life learning the marketing biz in the world of financial services. I learned alot about communication and influencing and how to work my political mo-jo to get stuff done. I was never one of those ‘lifers’ and found myself wanting to make each business better or help to grow it faster or make a difference for the customer. I soon realized start-up life might be a much better fit and gave it a shot.

I had a near two-year-love-affair with matchmine, a media discovery network poised to change the way we think about online media. I was the Marketing chick and it kind of stuck. Now, I do my Marketing chick thing at Currensee, a Forex trading social network, where trader acquisition and revenue generation are the name of the game.

I happen to be addicted to social media and all things related to social networks and connecting people. Is there a support group for that? When I’m not working or Tweeting, I have a passion for all things fashion and help create fashionistas at The Stylish Eye. If I could live anywhere in the world it would probably be Positano, Italy where I’d team-up with a fabulous leathersmith and start my own shoe line a la Jimmy Choo. Ah…someday.
